A WORD FROM THE OWNER

Belief in the Providence of God

My name is Gabe. I came to the United Sates in November, 1983 with $60. My reason - America rewards hard work and entrepreneurship. While at the University of Illinois, I rode a bicycle selling ice cream during the day and at night worked as a bouncer in several night clubs that students still patronize today.

By my junior year in college, I had saved $63,000 and decided to use it as a down payment on a campus apartment building. The harder I worked, the greater the luck I created for myself.

The luck that was created was not the kind of luck you have when you win the lotto or find a hundred dollar bill on the sidewalk. Instead, it was the kind of luck that comes with enterprise and the ability to recognize an opportunity when you see it.

When you are in the beginning stages of achieving your dreams, don’t believe the hype about yourself. Chances are you are not a genius but have only created the luck that comes by taking calculated risks and from being thrifty.

America is a country worth loving and Horatio Alger stories still live.

Let your heroes be leaders of industry and not leaders of conspicuous consumption. America, this country I love, rewards hard work, thrift, calculated risks and most importantly always remember God’s law,

“Do unto others as you would want done unto you.”

All the Best,

Gabe
